Beyond the Garden DSP 12x12 Layout

Hi there!  I had this photo I wanted to scrap of my 2 oldest daughters and I knew I wanted it to be a bright, happy type of layout.  I also knew I wanted a circle involved to symbolize their unity.  I found the sketch below from http://www.letsscrap.ning.com/ in their 2011 sketches section and decided the left side would work:

And here is how it turned out:

As you can see, I am still trying to learn how to post layouts, with the resizing and all!  Thank you for your patience while I get up to speed with all the techie stuff!

Supplies are all Stampin Up! unless otherwise noted:
Cardstock:  Tangering Tango, Daffodil Delight, Wild Wasabi, Whisper White, Cajun Craze.
Designer Series Paper (DSP):  Beyond the Garden
Classic Ink Pads:  Daffodil Delight (to ink bird edges)
Markers:  Tangering Tango & Daffodil Delight to outline alpha, bird legs & beak and tree trunk.  Black Journaler for journaling.
Accessories:  Tasteful Trim border die, daffodil delight 1/4" grossgrain ribbon, bird punch, small heart punch, modern label punch, tab punch, embosslit beautiful wings die, snail, dimensionals, sticky tape to adhere ribbon, 5 1/2"Circle and Quikutz Alphabet dies and misc small rhinestones.

Notes:  I free handed the tree trunk.  I put crystal effects over "sister" to make it different from rest of title.

Thank you for stopping by!  And until next time... keep stamping la vida loca... AKA "the crazy life"!

Bella Blossoms Birthday Card

I made this sweet birthday card in Nov. 2010 for a very special lady, my husband's grandma "Nan".  I cased it from splitcoaststampers but I apologize I can't remember the original designer's name.  I just changed the background pattern paper, the sentiment arrangement and added the dots embossing folder.

I believe all the supplies are from Stampin' Up!  The flower is from the Bella Blossoms stamp set and the sentiment is from the Sincere Salutations set.  I used the top note die cut, victoria crochet trim, pearls and dazzling diamonds.  The petals are cut and adhered in incremental layers using dimensionals.

Thanks for stopping by and...
til next time, keep stamping la vida loca! (AKA the crazy life!)
